Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce that left back Jack Kelly has joined us from Redditch United, whilst club record appearance holder Aaron Roberts has been retained for the 2025/26 season!
Jack, who won both the Manager’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season at Redditch’s 2024/25 end of season awards despite only joining in November, counts Kettering Town, Hednesford Town and Walsall Wood amongst some of his former clubs.
On joining Sporting, Jack commented: “I’m buzzing to be here at Sporting for next season. It’s a massive club, with great ambition, and I’m happy to be part of it.
“I was drawn to the club by the gaffer himself, and how he explained what he expects for next season. The fan base here is also amazing – at home and away games, always behind the lads, which I think is massive.”
“I’m a hard working full back who will get up and down the pitch. I’d like to say I can bring what I did last season and contribute with numerous assists and a few goals.”
Manager Scott Adey-Linforth commented: “I’m buzzing to have Jack on board. I watched him a lot last season and was very impressed with his performances. His character and determination is exactly what I’m after for our changing room.
“From the moment I met him, I knew he was all in and would be a perfect fit.”
Meanwhile, centre back Aaron, fresh from winning the Sporting Directors’ Player of the Season, has committed for another season at Sporting.
Commenting on this news, he said: “It was very easy for me to agree to re-sign with the club. I’ve enjoyed two really good seasons since I come back and now, with it being Scott and Daryl’s first time to build a squad, I am really looking forward to being involved.
“The second half of last season saw a real swing in momentum and we challenged the biggest teams. I’m raring to go for another crack at things next season, hopefully alongside a lot of last year’s lads and some new quality additions. Up the Sporting!”
