Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce our latest new addition ahead of the 2026/27 season – experienced and versatile defender Kieron Freeman from Alfreton Town!
34 year-old Kieron has enjoyed a glittering professional career, having played 20 games in Sheffield United’s Premier League-promotion winning side in the 2018/19 season.
He also played for the Blades in the Premier League during the 2019/20 season, and has one Wales cap to his name – playing in a friendly in Albania in 2018.
Kieron, who can play anywhere across the back and in a holding midfield position, has also played at the likes of Portsmouth and Derby County – more recently, he has plied his trade with Alfreton Town, Hednesford Town and Spalding United; with the Tulips, he gained experience of playing in the Southern League Premier Central.
On joining Sporting, Kieron commented: “I’m delighted to be joining the club and can’t wait to get started. From speaking with the management team and seeing the ambition around the club, it was an easy decision for me.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the players, staff and supporters, and hopefully playing my part in helping the team achieve its goals this season. I’m excited for the challenge ahead and can’t wait to get out on the pitch, in front of the fans.”
