Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce our first new signing ahead of the new season – full back Josh Dugmore from Alvechurch!
The 23 year-old isn’t strictly a new signing, having spent a successful season at Sporting in the 2021/22 campaign, which was his first in adult football after leaving Birmingham City’s academy.
The quality of Josh’s performances during his first spell with the Rouslers, in which he wore the captain’s armband on several occasions, earnt him a move to AFC Telford United, before making the switch to Banbury United.
He has spent the last three-and-a-half years with Alvechurch, where he swiftly became a fans favourite. During his time at Lye Meadow, he played under current Sporting manager Tim Flowers, who made Josh a firm target of his to bring back to Sporting.
On returning to Sporting, Josh commented: “I’m buzzing to be back at Bromsgrove. This was the club where my non league journey started when I was 18, so coming back now at 23 feels like a full circle moment.
“I’ve grown a lot as a player since then and I’m excited to be back wearing the shirt again. I’m just looking forward to getting started now.”
We hope you will join us in welcoming Josh back to Sporting!
