Bromsgrove Sporting 0
Nuneaton Borough 1 (Dwyer 80')
A goal from substitute Anthony Dwyer saw Nuneaton Borough take all three points, in what was a fairly cagey encounter at the Victoria Ground.
In the 80th minute, Charlie Dowd won the ball and found the Nuneaton striker with a cracking ball, allowing him to slot home past Aaron Clayton from close range.
The first half was devoid of any big chances in truth.
Luke Benbow and Jaden Charles had free kicks miss the target for the visitors, before Jonathan Letford headed over from inside the box for Sporting.
Benbow volleyed over from a decent position in the 26th minute and with two minutes of the half remaining, Greg Kaziboni had an effort blocked away.
Seven minutes into the second half, Bromsgrove missed a huge opportunity, as a Will Shorrock ball into the box fell to Mitchel Candlin, who struck the ball straight at Tony Breeden from an amazing one on one situation.
Afterwards, the lively Shorrock had some chances of his own to get on the scoresheet but wasn't successful and, in the 77th minute, he hit a menacing free kick into the area that all Sporting players missed and Breeden claimed.
Bromsgrove were made to pay for not capitalising on their second half dominance, as Dwyer coolly knocked the ball home with 10 minutes remaining to bag the win.
