Lowestoft Town 0
Free-scoring Bromsgrove Sporting ran riot at the Victoria Ground on Saturday afternoon, as they demolished Lowestoft Town 6-0.
Hat tricks from strikers Shaquille McDonald and Richard Gregory ensured Sporting would take all three points with minimum fuss.
The deadlock was broken just five minutes in, as Gregory smashed home a spotkick after Mikey Taylor was brought down by Lowestoft keeper Luis Tibbles.
It was 2-0 just eight minutes later, as Mikey Taylor laid off Gregory, who saw his shot from around 20 yards out hit both posts before rippling the net.
Talismanic striker Mikey Taylor was forced off injured in the 18th minute, but his replacement McDonald proved more than up to the task of boosting the scoreline.
The 34th minute saw McDonald score his first, as he latched onto a long ball, ran at the Trawlerboys' defence and produced a shot that Tibbles got a hand to before going in.
McDonald had his brace three minutes later, as a pinpoint Gregory pass from distance found him, which resulted in the Sporting striker lobbing over Tibbles on the volley.
McDonald notched up his hat-trick seven minutes into the second half, courtesy of a deliciously struck free kick that curled over the wall and landed neatly in the bottom corner.
The scoring was complete 18 minutes from time; McDonald found Gregory inside the box, who struck home with his left foot to bag his hat-trick.
Adam Tann and Malachi Linton had late efforts to score a consolation for the visitors but both were unable to convert.
