Bromsgrove Sporting 0
Leiston 1 (Clements 90')
Bromsgrove Sporting were made to rue a whole host of missed chances against Leiston, with the Blues winning by just the single goal.
The goal came in the 90th minute, via the head of defender Kyran Clements, bringing an end to the Rouslers' unbeaten run that had stretched seven games.
Sporting started the game brightly, with Jamie Meddows having a shot from 20 yards saved by Leiston keeper Billy Johnson, before Billy Shaw saw his effort on the rebound kept out.
The 19th minute saw Bromsgrove's Theo Robinson put an attempt wide after being set up by an Aksum White cross.
Further chances fell Sporting's way in the 35th minute, as Jack Newell had a shot blocked, followed by Reece King heading the ball into Johnson's clutches.
Golden opportunities fell the way of Sporting as the second half progressed.
The 69th minute saw Meddows strike the ball across the goal and wide. Six minutes later, Sporting skipper Luke Rowe played in Newell - he found himself one-on-one with Johnson from six yards out but decided to tee up Burton-loanee (and almost namesake) Jack Newall, who had his shot saved.
With 10 minutes of normal time remaining, Newall headed it onto Robinson, but he struck wide from close range.
Sporting would ultimately be made to pay for these missed chances, as Clements headed home a corner as the clock struck ninety.
