Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (Wragg 19')
Halesowen Town 2 (Donnelly 22', Kelly 35')
An August Bank Holiday crowd of 1,310 at the UK Electrical Stadium watched Halesowen Town beat Bromsgrove Sporting 2-1.
Walsall loanee Charlie Wragg's third goal of the season was cancelled out by Kieran Donnelly's equaliser minutes later, before Nat Kelly scored what proved to be the winner in the 35th minute.
Sporting's Jamie Meddows and Halesowen's Conor Tee, formerly a Rousler himself, both missed the target with early chances.
The deadlock was broken 19 minutes in, as a good pass from Billy Shaw found Wragg inside the box, who went on to clinically strike the ball into the bottom corner to give Paul Smith's side the lead against his former club.
The leveller came three minutes afterwards, as Donnelly slotted home from inside the area after some decent build-up play from the Yeltz.
Wragg almost doubled his tally for the afternoon in the 29th minute, but his instinctive close range shot from an Aksum White cross was hit straight at keeper Daniel Platt - another ex-Sporting player. The ball fell to Shaw seconds after, but his drive went over.
The game's third goal was a sublime effort from Kelly, who found the top corner of the net with a well struck shot after the ball emerged from the box following a corner kick.
The 38th minute saw Sporting stopper Charlie Price make a save before Ben Cassidy hit the rebound over.
Halesowen had a flurry of chances 10 minutes into the second half, with Adi Yussuf having a shot saved by Price's feet before Donnelly had an effort kept out - the resultant corner from that was headed narrowly over by captain Ryan Wynter.
McKauley Manning had a couple of efforts for the visitors around the hour mark before Sporting substitute Jack Newell had a strike deflected wide.
The game was severely lacking in clear cut chances inside the final 20 minutes; Tee had an effort saved easily by Price as the clock hit 90 minutes and the game finished with three back-to-back Luke Rowe corners that Sporting were unable to take advantage of.
