Bromsgrove Sporting comfortably beat an uninspiring Feckenham side in the third round of the Smedley Crooke Memorial Trophy at Victoria Ground on Tuesday night.

Goals from Danny Ludlow, Will Tibbetts and a double from Mark Bellingham capped off a strong performance from the home side who will now face either Shirley or Pilkington in the fourth round.

A lively Sean Williams created the first chance from the Rouslers. Having won a free-kick minutes beforehand in his own half, Williams linked up well with Brett Mander and Matt Poyner, producing a dangerous cross, which the away side scrambled away for a corner.

At the other end a poor back pass from Jack Wilson let in Feckenham's Daniel Byford, though the home defender managed to make amends with a good tackle.

Minutes later another mix up in the home defence meant captain Joe Cole was forced to chase back and clear off the line just in time to the cheer of the fans.

In the final third, the Rouslers were looking dangerous; Poyner heading onto Bellingham whose shot was smothered well by away keeper Brendon Bunn.

Poyner then had a shot blocked inside the box which was heading for the bottom right corner. Bunn gathered after a goalmouth scramble, though the ball was knocked from his hands and he was awarded a free-kick.

On the half hour mark, Sporting fans were calling for a penalty when Bunn collided with Ludlow, though the keeper again got the decision.

Bellingham lifted the ball over Bunn after cutting in from the left, though the ball went just wide. But two minutes later Bromsgrove were ahead after a well-worked build up led to Ludlow finishing smartly.

Six minutes later Sporting were further in front when Bellingham held up the ball with his back to goal, turned and fired low beyond Bunn into the bottom right.

Sporting continued to press as the second half started, Bellingham again involved when he looked to be fouled in the box, though no penalty was given.

But on the fifty-third minute he again turned well in the box and shot low to add his second of the evening and take the score to 3-0.

Sam Wilkinson fired a long range effort from well outside the box which was saved impressively by Bunn to his left. Feckenham were struggling to handle the likes of the impressive Williams, Ludlow and Darius Darkin.

Then in the sixty-seventh minute Darkin put substitute Will Tibbetts through on goal to make it 4-0.

The home side continued to threaten for the rest of the game, though poor finishing meant they were unable to increase the goal margin.

And in the seventy-eighth minute Feckenham pulled one back when striker Steve Roach sent an impressive long range effort over home keeper Jake Bedford into the top corner. But it was too little too late, as the away side had struggled to get any kind of foothold all game.

The Rouslers then continued to press, with Williams drilling a shot from a difficult angle just past the post. Darkin shot from a long distance right at the death, which stung the keeper's fingers.
