Bromsgrove Sporting 0
Alvechurch 2 (Pearce 3', Wragg 33', Wakefield Red Card 67')
Alvechurch manager Tim Flowers recorded his second win of the season at Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday afternoon.
After leading Redditch United to victory in September, goals from Krystian Pearce and Charlie Wragg ensured the former Bromsgrove gaffer would once again taste victory at the UK Electrical Stadium.
The afternoon got off to the worst possible start for Sporting, as Pearce's header from a cross looped into the goal.
Half an hour later, the lead was doubled, as a poor kick from keeper Charlie Price wad intercepted by former Rousler Wragg; he came back to haunt his former side, slotting home with ease.
Alvechurch had a couple of chances early in the second half, but neither Wragg nor Kieran Wakefield were able to make the most of them.
In the 67th minute, Wakefield was sent off after a rash challenge on Aksum White.
From there onwards, Sporting had a hatful of chances. Aaron Roberts had a header palmed away by keeper Ronnie Hollingshead in the 70th minute before substitute Fin Holmes skied a brilliant opportunity six minutes later.
Reece King found the woodwork with a header in the 79th minute before another Sporting substitute, Harry Crook, put a headed effort over the target a minute later.
In the 90th minute, Crook put a Holmes cross wide of the mark at the back post, which was followed by Holmes having a strike saved three minutes after.
