Bromsgrove Sporting 3 (Meddows 20' & 45+1', Robinson 85')
AFC Sudbury 0
Bromsgrove Sporting recorded their first home win of 2025, courtesy of a comprehensive victory over AFC Sudbury.
A double from Jamie Meddows and a classy third from Theo Robinson guided the Rouslers to their second win inside a week, moving them six points clear of the drop zone.
The visitors nearly broke the deadlock after just three minutes, when an Oliver Peters free kick from just over 20 yards clipped the post before going out.
The opener came 20 minutes in, as fine work from Fin Holmes allowed the lively winger to put the ball on a plate for Meddows, who converted from a yard out.
Meddows almost added to his tally in the 40th minute, but his strike was saved by the foot of keeper James Bradbrook.
The majestic Meddows would eventually score his second in first half added time, slotting home with his left foot after being assisted by Billy Shaw.
Sudbury substitute Marcel Lewis had a strike saved by Charlie Price three minutes into the second half, whilst Sporting's Reece Styche had a header cleared off the line in the 55th minute.
Meddows almost notched up his hat trick in the 63rd minute, but his shot from distance was well palmed away by Bradbrook.
Robinson almost scored with 15 minutes of normal time remaining but his effort was kept out - he would net 10 minutes later though, via a well taken lobbed effort that left Bradbrook stranded.
