OPPOSITION
- 2023/24 league position: 9th (Southern League Premier Division Central)
- Last season: P40 W18 D4 L18. GD +15. 58 points.
- No team drew less games last season, and they haven’t drawn in seven league games this season either (W3 L4). Their last league draw a 3-3 away at subsequently relegated Long Eaton on 16th March – this means they have gone 14 consecutive league games without a draw across both seasons.
- This season: 12th. P7 W3 D0 L4. GD +3. 9 points.
- All three of their league wins have come at home (3 from 4). On the road, it’s been a different story, as they’ve lost all three of their away league matches, by 1-0 (Stourbridge, Halesowen and Bishop’s Stortford). They are one of three teams to have picked up no points on the road (Hitchin & Spalding the other two) and the only team not to have scored on the road.
- They are the only team in the league (other than the bottom two Hitchin & Spalding) to have lost their last two matches (Bishop’s Stortford away and a 1-2 defeat to Kettering, their first home loss of the league season).
- Jonathan Edwards was last season’s Southern League top goalscorer, with 30 goals. He has netted three times this season.
- Away from the league this season, they have actually drawn a game – a 0-0 away at Step Five Harpenden Town in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round was followed by a 5-2 home win in the replay. In the next round, they beat Berkhamsted (relegated from the Southern League Premier Central last season) at home 5-0.
