OPPOSITION

  • This season: P35 W17 D8 L10. 59 points. GD +18. They sit 7th (of 22 teams).
  • This season (away): P17 W6 D7 L4. 18 points. GD +5.
  • Last five league games: W4 D1
  • Last five league away games: W3 D2
  • Most recent match: 0-4 win at Bishop’s Stortford (Saturday)
  • With 54 goals scored this season in the league, that is the most scored of any team currently outside of the play offs.
  • With 36 goals conceded, only Banbury (31) have conceded less.
  • Away from home in the league this season, Harborough have drawn seven matches – only Telford (9) have drawn more on the road. In contrast, the Bees have only drawn one home game.
  • Coupled with the above stat, no team has lost less games on the road in the league this season than Harborough’s four.
  • And with 20 away league goals conceded this season, again, it’s only Banbury who have conceded less (18).
  • Only Kettering (25) have a better goal difference than Harborough’s 18. Only Stourbridge (9) have a better away goal difference than their five.
  • Form-wise, Harborough sit top of the tree in terms of every side’s last five league games (13 points, W4 D1 – tied with two other teams but with a better goal difference). No team has scored more their 13, only Halesowen (2) have conceded less than their three, and, unsurprisingly, their goal difference of 10 is the best in the league.
  • It’s a similar story over their last 10 league matches too; nobody has picked up more points than their 23 (next highest is Bedford, with 20). They are the third highest scorers, have conceded at least three less than every other side (with 5), and their goal difference of 13 is at least four better than every other side.
  • And in terms of their last five away league games, it’s the same again – most points (11 – W3 D2), joint most goals (10 – with Stourbridge), fewest conceded (2) and best goal difference (8).
  • They’ve won their last three in the league (Bishop’s Stortford 0-4 A, Stratford 3-1 H, Spalding 0-2 A). Only Halesowen, with four straight wins, are on a longer winning streak at present.
  • They are on an unbeaten run of seven games in the league (W5 D2) – only Telford’s current unbeaten run is longer (10 games).
  • In the last six of these games, they have scored at least two in each of them.
  • They are on a eight match away unbeaten away run in the league – the longest of any side in the division at present (W5 D3). Their last away defeat was a 4-1 loss to St Ives on 14th December; this was their third away loss in a row at that time, having lost to Hitchin (3-0) and Lowestoft (1-0) beforehand.
  • Harborough have only lost one league game in 15 – that being a 0-1 defeat at home to Stourbridge (25th January – the only game they’ve lost this calendar year). As mentioned, they’re unbeaten in seven since that, and in their seven unbeaten prior to the Stourbridge defeat, they had won six and drawn one (the six wins following the draw). The draw was a 2-2 away at Barwell and their last league defeat prior to Stourbridge came directly before the Barwell game – that being a 0-1 loss at home to Alvechurch.
  • Top goalscorer (as per the Southern League website): Ben Stephens – 13 goals. He has scored in three of their last five league matches.
