LEAGUE NEWS: 2026/27 Opponents Announced

As you may have already seen on our social media channels, our 2026/27 Southern League Premier Central opponents have been announced, pending any appeals.

21 opponents – 21 home games at the UK Electrical Stadium and 21 away games across a variety of trips and distances.

Four promoted teams joining the league this season are Anstey Nomads, Racing Club Warwick, Leighton Town and Hitchin Town.

Two teams relegated from the National League North last season are both familiar to Sporting at Step Three – Leamington and Peterborough Sports.

The final new team for 2026/27 is Rushall Olympic – a Step Three side last season, they have shifted to the Southern League Premier from the Northern Premier League, with Quorn moving in the other direction.

Away from Quorn, every other side from last season is the same for this upcoming campaign, bar the teams that were promoted and relegated – six in total (Harborough Town, Spalding United, St Ives Town, Barwell, Royston Town, AFC Sudbury)
