LADIES & VETERANS TEAMS: Results And Fixtures

The following is an update on Sunday’s results for our Ladies and Veterans Teams, plus news of both of their respective next fixtures.

LADIES TEAM

  • It was a great return to winning ways for the Sporting Ladies on Sunday, with a 3-0 away at Droitwich Star Belles.
  • Goals came from debutant Jess Grosvenor, lsabella Brookes and Lisa Edwards, with all scored in the first half.
  • The Ladies are at home to Hereford Pegasus Ladies, this Sunday (30th January) at the VG. Kick off is 2pm and entry is free.

VETERANS TEAM

  • The Vets recorded a solid 5-1 win on Sunday, at home versus Coles Lane. Bromsgrove scored early doors with a well taken goal from Matt Connolly. The Visitors then equalised 10 minutes later after applying a lot of pressure. The first half ended 2-1, courtesy of a Junior Hewitt penalty. In the second half, Bromsgrove dominated the game, with Hewitt making it 3-1, Ben Bailey slotting home to make it 4-1 and Hewitt bagging another penalty to make it 5-1. A hat-trick for the forward on his birthday.
  • They play away at Coles Lane this Sunday (30th January), with a 10:30 KO.
