COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Bank Holiday fixtures

Manager Bren Kelly has looked ahead to our next two fixtures, a home match on Saturday versus AFC Rushden & Diamonds and an away match on Monday against Stourbridge (both 3:00 KO).

“Two difficult games in store against two excellent sides. The mood in our camp is good after last week’s first win and competition for places is fierce

“We have also added new blood to the squad this week, but are still without Josh Quaynor, who needs an operation and we wish him a speedy recovery.

“We are also still without Connor Taylor, but otherwise everyone else is available.

“Last week, we turned a corner with the win and clean sheet and we aim to build on that across these two games.

“The mentality of the players will be key across these two games in order to get something from them.

“Confidence, although boosted after the Needham Market success, is not at an all time high, so I would happily accept gritty, ground out results.

“Again, I call upon the Sporting faithful to get behind us and support the players. See you all Saturday and Monday.”
