COACHES’ CORNER: Scott Adey-Linforth Previews Stratford Town

Ahead of Saturday’s league match, at home to Stratford Town (3:00 KO), manager Scott Adey-Linforth has looked at last weekend’s match and the task at hand here…

“I’m buzzing to be back at home after a long trip to Sudbury last week.

“We started the game really well, hitting everything but the back of the net. Unfortunately, we found ourselves 2-0 down, after goals in fairly quick succession.

“I’ve questioned the lads’ mentality over the past week when they’ve gone a goal down, so I’m pleased that they showed great resilience to get one back before half time and an equaliser not long after the break.

“In the 15 minutes after the leveller, we were on top, and I thought we’d get ahead. But, as we got later into the game, the hosts came back into it and had plenty of good chances.

“Overall I was really happy with a point, especially after a long travel down there.

“Stratford will be no easy test; they find themselves just above us in the league table. We really want to put a show on for our supporters – we’ve had a good week of training and we’re all raring to go.

“We have 10 home games left this season and we want to give everything we can to bring as many points home as possible. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.”
