Ahead of Easter Monday’s league match, away at Stourbridge (3:00 KO), manager Scott Adey-Linforth has spoken about Friday’s win, this fixture and the importance of it…

“Tomorrow, we make the short trip over to Stourbridge for an exciting local derby

“Friday’s win was massive – it was a game in which we were expected to get three points and I’m so glad we were able to deliver the win with three goals and a clean sheet.

“I felt we started fantastically, before dropping off and allowing Biggleswade a foothold in the game. However, for all of the possession they had, I felt we defended brilliantly through out.

“I was pleased with our second half performance and I thought the impact Jordan Lyden had from the bench was massive.

“Onto Easter Monday and Stourbridge come into this fixture in good form, having only lost one of their last eight. That, with the added incentive of it being their last game for the foreseeable at the War Memorial Ground, makes this a difficult match.

“We got the better of them on Boxing Day, but that too was a tough match and we had to be at our best.

“It’s no secret that there are a lot of connections between the two clubs, but that doesn’t stop us wanting to win and spoil the party!

“It promises to be an exciting game for both clubs and it’s one I can’t wait for.

“As good as the three points was on Friday, we’re still not mathematically safe. There are six points still to play for and we’ll be doing our best to get as many as we can.

“We look forward to seeing you on the road for one final time this year. Your support on the road this season has been superb and I hope to finish with a positive result tomorrow.”
