Ahead of Saturday’s league match, at home to Banbury United (3:00 KO), manager Scott Adey-Linforth has spoken about the opposition and our sensational result last weekend…
“Tomorrow, we face Banbury in what looks set to be another tricky fixture. Banbury have proven to be a tough side to beat, having conceded the least amount of goals this season.
“Even though their scoring numbers are low, I believe their style means they offer a big threat going forward. They come to us on the back of a good win at Royston, which I’m sure they’ll be hoping to build on.Â
“We come into this game after a dramatic win against St Ives. We started the game brilliantly, deservedly going two goals up, but, unfortunately, we allowed them back into the game and they deservedly got back level.
“Once again, the lads found a way and managed to take all three points, after a superb free kick from Carter Lycett at the death.Â
“This result epitomises the togetherness we have built – not only as a squad of players but as a club, with you, the supporters.Â
“With it being Non League Day tomorrow, I’m excited to hopefully see a big crowd. We have five huge home matches left and we will do everything we can to bring home the points.”
