COACHES’ CORNER: Scott Adey-Linforth Previews AFC Telford United

Ahead of tonight’s league match, away at AFC Telford United (7:45 KO), first team coach Scott Adey-Linforth has spoken about the match, recent performances and the support so far this season…

“Tonight, we head to Telford for our second away game in four days. Following on from a strong performance (& clean sheet!) at Biggleswade, we’ll go into this game full of confidence and aim to make it as difficult as possible for the hosts.

“As good as a place it is to go and play football, we understand that we will have to be at the top of our game.

“Bar their FA Cup result, Telford have been on a decent run, winning their last four league games. The manager has had to deal with a lot of injuries over the past few months and they’re slowly starting to get some faces back, so we’re expecting to face a strong side.

“With them only keeping one clean sheet so far this season, the manager, staff and players are all confident we can go to Telford and cause them problems.

“Game by game, we’re becoming stronger as a group, improving both with and without the ball.

“Your support across the first eight games has been tremendous and hasn’t gone unnoticed by the manager and players.

“We look forward to seeing (and hearing you) tonight, in what promises to be an exciting game of football, with both teams looking to take maximum points.”
