We go into today’s game off the back of a midweek win at Stratford which, although it was hard fought, it extended our winning run away from home. It’s an impressive record – and one that we’re obviously going to have to protect as we go into two of the next three games away.
We find ourselves drawn away to Warwick in the Trophy today – a tough game, which it always will be, against another local side. Obviously, they’re a team that has come up and a team that has momentum from that promotion last season, when they had an impressive run at Step Four. We’re going to have to be bob on our game to try and progress in the competition.
The boys are in good form at the moment and they’re in good spirits. We’ve prepared, we’ve looked at Warwick and we’ll do our best to try and get through to the next round in another cup competition.
In terms of injuries, we’ll still be without Dan Trickett-Smith and Jake Jervis. Kieron Freeman rolled his ankle at Stratford so we’ll look at him – he was pretty sore on Thursday so we may rest him. Other than that, I think everybody else is available for selection – that’s good as it gives us a full bench and we’ll crack on.
