COACHES’ CORNER: Paul Smith Previews Lowestoft Town

Ahead of Saturday’s league match, away at Lowestoft Town (3:00 KO), manager Paul Smith has spoken about the fixture and looked at the ever-growing competition in the squad...

“Tomorrow sees us make the longest trip of the season to Lowestoft. They will be buoyed by their first win of the season at Barwell last week.

“We too go into the game on the back of a strong performance against Spalding.

“If the players can maintain that level of performance again, we stand a good chance of bringing some points home.

“We are nearing a fully fit and available squad now, so there will be a few disappointed boys this weekend.

“We need competition for places, as that brings the best out in players. They all understand they must perform week in and week out, or they run the risk of being left out.

“A huge thank you in advance to the fans that are travelling to support us tomorrow – it’s a real commitment to go to Lowestoft and it won’t go unnoticed.

“See you all there tomorrow.”
