COACHES’ CORNER: Paul Smith Previews Belper Town

Ahead of tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup replay, at home to Belper Town (7:45 KO), manager Paul Smith has spoken about the game at hand and reflected on Saturday’s incredible support…

“What a following. The supporters coach and those who travelled independently probably numbered in the region of 150 – yet the support you gave us sounded like five times that.

“We can’t thank you enough, and I hope this is the first of many away day coach trips.

“I’m so pleased you all had a great end to the game to take away with you.

“The first half performance was abject to say the least, but the players know this, and the reaction they showed in the second half was very good.

“We now have a second opportunity to progress – Belper gave us a huge scare and have some big dangers so we need to perform.

“A home tie in the next round awaits the winners, and I’m sure both sides will be going for it tomorrow.

“Come along… you could just make the difference!”
