COACHES’ CORNER: Mike McGrath Previews Halesowen Town

Ahead of Saturday’s away match vs Halesowen Town in the league, manager Mike McGrath has previewed the fixture, looking at last week’s game, the current coaching situation and the game at hand.

“It’s another big derby tomorrow. Last week, against Redditch, there wasn’t much in the game and we deserved a point at least, but it’s not really been going for us this season.

“On a personal note, my appeal of the red card has been unsuccessful, so I will serve a three match ban.

“There will be a big crowd there tomorrow and the lads are all looking forward to it. Only seven points separate us in the league, and it’s still very tight, so three points tomorrow will be massive.

“I know we are capable of beating anyone, as performances have proven that this season, so we go into the game looking to win as usual.

“Craig Nicholls has left the club to take the Coleshill management job and I wish him all the best in his new adventure. Craig was my third coach since taking over and I operated for the majority of last season on my own, getting some very good results which ultimately kept us in the league.

“I’ll now be interviewing new coaches over the coming days and look to bring someone in that suits myself and the way I like to run the team.

“Hopefully, we get plenty of fans down the Grove and we can give them something to cheer about so they can go home with the bragging rights.”
