COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Banbury United

Ahead of our league match versus Banbury United, manager Bren Kelly has looked at the opposition, as well as giving an injury update and news of two players who have departed the Victoria Ground.

“This Saturday, we are back at the VG to face a very dangerous side in Banbury.

“They have had a very decent start to the season and, again, are a well established side at this level.

“We will be without Will Shorrock this week again, due to a thigh injury, but otherwise I have a full squad to choose from.

“Tom Taylor is available again ahead of schedule, so Grant Horton returns to Cheltenham and we wish him all the best.

“Another played who has exited the club is Jake Heath; Jake is wanting to play more regularly, but unfortunately for him the lads in his position are not doing much wrong, so he has decided to move on.

“Saturday’s game will see us as underdogs again, but if we look at our general performance from the first few games, we have nothing to fear and can feel confident in ourselves.

“Our fans have been amazing again so far this season and I hope the VG is rocking come Saturday.”
