ASH CARTER: A message to the fans

As he nears his return from injury, defender Ash Carter has written the following message to our fans…

“Hello to everybody at Sporting. As you’ve seen, I’ve been injured for the best part of five to six weeks now.

“I first felt it in the first pre season game and thought it was just tightness – I carried on training and playing, thinking it was just tight, but it turned out to be a 6mm tear in my adductor tendon, which a private chartered physio recommended rest to be taken.

“I’m itching to get back to help the lads – I’m back running and still upping my rehab, whilst seeing a physio.

“I’m hoping to be back playing for the 6th September all being well.

“There’s been a few bumps in the road on the way, but nothing will stop me from getting through this and being back on the pitch helping everyone.

“I look forward to seeing you all very soon and remember, as a football club, tough times never last – we will turn it around, with the help of everyone.

“See you soon. Carts.”
