A round-up of the Bromsgrove Sporting Colts’ action over the weekend just passed; here’s how they got on…

Development

Nine games resulted in five wins & four defeats

Saturday

 – Mercian (Cup Semi Final) U9 Colts  1  Perdiswell Colts Lions  4: Only Colts’ 2nd loss in 15 months – all credit to Perdiswell, who fought for every ball ,showing great desire & commitment. It’s all about development, so hopefully Colts will turn this negative into a positive in games to come. MOM Quincy, who scored for Colts
 – Friendly U16 Colts Reds  5  Kidderminster Harriers U15 JPL  2: With their League game called off, the U16 Reds played this friendly. Four goals from Ash & an own goal, MOM Louis Grocott. Fantastic game of football, with some great crosses into the box
 – MJPL (L) Evesham Utd Juniors  5  U17 Colts  1: Jamie Smith scored the consolation goal

Sunday

 – CWYFL ( W Cup Semi Final) U10 Colts  5  Hillfield A F C Black  2: Hat trick from Alfie Whittle, with Elijah Smith & Max Hinks adding the other two. MOM Charlie Schwarm for a stirring job in defence
– CWYFL (L)  U12 Colts  2  Lyndon Colts   2: Once again the U12 hold top of the table Lyndon to remain the only team to take any points off them. Kaelon Cole scored both goals, Theo Griffi was MOM
 – CWYFL (L) Highgate Utd Youth Sports  1  U13 Colts Athletic  5: Athletic march on in top spot – MOM Harvey Nolan hat trick & one each for Oliver Jones & Liam Livesey
– CWYFL (L) U14 Colts Gators  1  Coleshill Town Colts  1: After an indifferent performance last week, Gators played a much better game. Both teams gave 100%
 – CWYFL (L – double header) U15 Colts  2  Six Ten Warriors  1  &  U15 Colts  1  Six Ten Warriors  1: David McQuaide got both goals in the first game and an own goal for Colts in the second game. All players MOM
