Bromsgrove Sporting’s December Player of the Month, as voted for by the fans, Richard Gregory, received his award, sponsored by Ace Embroidery, before our Southern League Premier Central game versus Stourbridge on New Year’s Day.
Richard, who secured 38% of the vote, celebrated the occasion with Dorian Dentith, who was representing the striker’s sponsor for the season (daughter Eleanor Dentith and Champion Security Installations – www.championcctv.co.uk/)
Two Man of the Match showings, in games against Needham Market and Malvern Town, as well as four goals inside 12 days in the month (vs Needham Market and Malvern Town – one goal in each, Alvechurch – two) were undoubtedly factors in the frontman winning the accolade.
On receiving the award, Richard commented: “I would just like to say thanks to everybody who voted for me in the December Player of the Month.
“It has been a great month for us as a team, as we are on an unbeaten run, and personally I feel like I’m back to my best, chipping in with a few goals and I’m happy with my overall performances.
“Thanks to Brendan (Kelly) and (Andrew) Mason, who showed their faith and for sticking by me, and to my fellow team mates, who also believed in me
“A final thanks to the supporters ,who no matter what happens, are always there, loud and proud, singing my name – I am very grateful.
