Ahead of Saturday’s league game at home to Banbury, manager Tim Flowers has talked about the match and reflected on our Team of the Month accolade. He starts with thoughts on Tuesday night’s win…
We have once again started a decent run, with some good results in the last two matches – we had a home game on Tuesday evening against Kettering, where I felt we were outstanding if I’m absolutely honest. We could have won the game by considerably more goals – I don’t think anybody can debate that. It was a brilliant performance, that has to be said.
I watch games back and I will say that we still have got loads to do – and I mean loads to do.
We are where we are and we’ve got a full squad to choose from tomorrow, which is great. We respect the opposition, and Banbury have certainly brought one or two in over the past few weeks and have had some injury problems themselves. But, other than that, we just need to get on with it.
It has been brilliant to see the fans getting behind us and it was brilliant for the PLAYERS to receive the Southern League Premier Central Team of the Month for September before the Kettering game – it’s the lads in the dressing room who won that, so all credit has to go to them.
I hope to see as many Rouslers come to the game tomorrow, and I hope we give you something to go home happy about!
