Prior to Tuesday night’s win over Kettering Town, we celebrated winning the Southern League Premier Central Team of the Month for September.
League director Craig Stainton awarded a trophy to manager Tim Flowers just before kick off of the dramatic victory over the Poppies.
The unbeaten month started with a 2-0 Emirates FA Cup win over Nuneaton Town, before a 1-0 victory in the top of the table clash over the previously unbeaten – and 100% record holding – Bury Town.
Next up was another FA Cup win – 2-1 versus Leek Town, followed by a pulsating 3-2 win at Stratford Town. A 1-0 success in the Isuzu FA Trophy over Racing Club Warwick followed, before seeing out the month with a 1-1 draw in the league against Leamington.
Clubs are chosen for the PST Sports Club of the Month award by whoever ends the month with the best average points per game in the league.
FA Cup and FA Trophy matches are considered, with a minimum of three matches to be played in any qualifying competition.
Should more than one club have the same best average points per game, then the winner shall be declared as the club with the best goal difference (in League matches) and if that is equal the club scoring the most goals.
