Two goals from centre back Ollie Harrison helped guide Bromsgrove Sporting to their seventh successive win on Tuesday evening.
In a game that came to life in the second half, Sporting attacker Lamin Barrow added to his season’s tally to give the visitors the lead before Dan Lafferty equalised from the penalty spot.
Harrison bagged from close range to restore Sporting’s lead, before former Rousler Kobe Hall levelled proceedings once again. It would be Bromsgrove who would have the final say though, as Harrison found himself perfectly positioned to knock the ball into the net and send his side up to second in the league table.
The best chance in what was a rather turgid first half went the way of Sporting’s Josh Dugmore, who’s shot from the edge of the area was always on the rise and sailed over the bar.
The opener came two minutes into the second half, as strong pressure from Jamille Matt on Bards keeper Jake Weaver allowed him to tee up Barrow to slot home into a virtually empty net.
Stratford were awarded a penalty on the hour mark, after Simeon Maye was judged to have handled the ball inside the box – an incident that the referee initially ignored before his assistant flagged for the offence. Lafferty stepped up and sent Tony Breeden the wrong way 61 minutes in.
Billy Shaw headed over a Chris Hussey free kick over 10 minutes after the equaliser, with the game’s next goal coming in the 80th minute – it stemmed from another Hussey free kick, with this one being headed across goal by Hayden Reeves to Shaw; his shot was saved, by Harrison was first in line to boot the ball home from close range.
Parity was restored once again just three minutes later, as Hall guided a cross into the net with his head at the front post.
However, Harrison was having none of it, scoring his second and Sporting’s just two minutes after, as he steered Josh Toluwaloju’s low cross into the net to maintain Bromsgrove’s 100% away record this season.
