Following the success of our World Cup fanzones, a promising pre-season thus far and a range of ground improvements over the summer, Darren Alderson, on behalf of the club’s ownership, has written a message to our fans…
Before the new season gets underway, we feel it’s worth reflecting on what has been another busy summer at Bromsgrove Sporting.
There has been plenty of hard work going on around the UK Electrical Stadium during the close season, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers over the past few weeks – whether you’ve given up a few hours or a lot more, your time and effort is genuinely appreciated. The club simply couldn’t do what it does without you.
Our World Cup Fanzone, following England’s journey through the tournament, was a real success. It was great to see so many people from the town coming together to enjoy the occasion and a big thank you goes to our partner, Newton Bars, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the event happen.
Together, we also raised over £1,000 for our chosen charity for the season, the NSPCC, supporting their ‘Every Childhood is Worth Fighting For’ campaign. We’re proud to have been able to support such an important cause.
From day one, we’ve said that we want Bromsgrove Sporting to be more than just a football club. We want the UK Electrical Stadium to be somewhere the whole community can enjoy and use throughout the year – and events like the Fanzone are just the start.
Creating financial stability for the club, raising its profile and awareness throughout the town and bringing more people through the gates are all key to what we’re trying to achieve.
On the pitch, there’s a real sense of excitement mounting as we head into the new season, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone back at the UK Electrical Stadium. We’ve also got more events and initiatives planned, and we’ll be sharing details of those very soon.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you all soon.
