Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce its first retained player ahead of the 2026/27 season – fans favourite Billy Shaw.
The energetic and versatile midfielder, who celebrated his 100th Sporting appearance in our memorable win at Stratford Town in April, enjoyed yet another impressive campaign in a Bromsgrove shirt, symbolised by important goals, tireless performances and a stellar attitude – both on and off the pitch.
Speaking about staying with Sporting, as the club embarks on a new era, Billy said: “It is really good to commit to Sporting again for this season. It was a tough year last year and we managed to get through it, but I am motivated to finish much higher up the table for the season ahead.
“I can see that a lot of positive things are happening off the pitch and hopefully we can transfer that onto the pitch. I’m looking forward to meeting up for pre-season, getting up and running.
“It would be great to see as many fans at the games to support and back us for an exciting season.”
