CLUB NEWS: Local Business Consortium Completes Sporting Deal

Bromsgrove Sporting Holdings Limited has today announced it has acquired a controlling shareholding in Bromsgrove Sporting FC, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the club and its supporters.

The five-person consortium, comprising local businessmen Elliott Nash, Alex Moran, Adam Hutchison, Darren Alderson and Darren Smith, successfully passed The FA Owners’ and Directors’ Test earlier this year and, following an Extraordinary General Meeting of the club on Wednesday 25th March 2026, has now finalised the share transfer of its hometown club.

The consortium shared their plans for the club with fans and the board earlier this year, to get their seal of approval before undertaking the legal process.

Plans include transforming the matchday experience, and creating a community hub during the week, with a new bar area and permanent home for the local hand-made burger restaurant, Hangry Moose at the ground. This partnership will be the first example of the consortium facilitating stronger partnerships between Bromsgrove Sporting and the wider business community.

Beyond the first team, the consortium also committed to improving pitch facilities at Barnsley Hall to support the growth and development of the Colts and ladies’ teams, ensuring everyone who plays for Bromsgrove, at any level, benefits from the support of the consortium.

Speaking on behalf of the consortium, Adam Hutchison, said: “We’re incredibly excited to have our involvement with the club confirmed and to officially be able to start pouring our hearts and souls into the club, as more than supporters.

“The club has a proud history, a loyal fanbase and huge potential for further growth and expansion. We want to work side by side with fans and the wider community, bringing together passion, commercial experience and community pride to create a club that thrives long into the future.”

Bromsgrove Sporting FC Chairman, Rod Brown, said: “The passion all members of the consortium have for our club is clear. Individually, they’ve all built thriving, longstanding businesses.

“Together, we know they’ll bring that expertise to Sporting, improving the club for the long term. This is an important moment for our club, and we look forward to building a legacy together for years to come.”
