PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Shaw on December award win

Before Saturday’s win over Barwell, midfielder Billy Shaw marked winning Player of the Month for December.

Billy celebrated the award with club volunteer Chris Fox – he, along with his brother Ade and mom Margaret, are Billy’s sponsor for the season!

Billy won December Player of the Month with 50% of the vote, beating defender Aaron Roberts to the prize!

Quality performances in our matches with Redditch United and Worcester Raiders were undoubtedly factors in the fans favourite winning the award.

On receiving the award, Billy said: “Thanks to everyone that voted for me to be Player of the Month!

“It is a nice feeling to win, and hopefully me and the rest of the team can take some of the good moments from the last month, and the important win on Saturday, into the next run of games and really kick on!”

A thoroughly deserved award for Billy, in what has been a fantastic season for him so far.
