NEWS SUMMARY: The Latest From Sporting

The following is a Sporting news summary, outlining bits of information that you may find of interest…

PLAYER & STAFF NEWS

  • Meanwhile, we welcome back Ryan Pratt to the club, who becomes our goalkeeping coach, replacing the outgoing Josh Coney.

SPORTING RESULTS SUMMARY – VETERANS & U18 GIRLS

  • The usual weekly round up of the results and fixtures of our Sporting teams will be taking a hiatus for a couple of weeks, given the majority of our Ladies, Ladies Development, Veterans, Colts and Girls sides are enjoying a Christmas break.
  • The Veterans’ game was postponed this weekend, and their game next weekend has been cancelled too, due to the opposition withdrawing.
  • The only Bromsgrove team, other than the First Team, who played this weekend were the U18 Girls – a depleted Bromsgrove side played league leaders Lye Town on Saturday and lost 6-1. Bromsgrove started well and were unlucky to go a goal down after 20 mins, but battled back five mins later to make it 1-1. A couple of defensive errors saw Sporting go in at the break 3-1 down. In the second half, Bromsgrove battled right to the end but, again, a couple of errors, along with a deflected shot, saw the very strong and tough tackling Lye come out victors in a hard fought game. Their next game is on 5th January at Old Wulfrunians.
