RESULTS: News From The Sporting Teams

This article looks at the latest results and news from all the Sporting teams…

FIRST TEAM

The First Team won 2-0 at home to St Ives on Saturday. In doing so, we beat a team that had won five league matches in a row, scoring 18 and conceding 2 in them. Miro Pais and debutant Peter Abimbola bagged the goals, with the Victoria Ground buzzing at full time.

LADIES

The Ladies’ game versus Malvern Town was cancelled at the weekend.

This Sunday, Sporting are at the Victoria Ground, against Kidderminster United Women. KO is 2:00, entry is free, and the bar is open for the Wolves vs Sheffield United game (1:30 KO).

For information from the Ladies’ team, be sure to tweet their Twitter/X account – @LadiesSporting.

VETERANS

The Veterans’ game was cancelled again at the weekend. This Sunday, they face Alvechurch TB, at the Victoria Ground (10:30 KO, entrance is free).

GIRLS

Unfortunately, there were no games for any of our teams last weekend due to the weather.

Games this weekend are…

  • Under 18 Girls TL – home to AFC Telford
  • Under 18 Girls MW – home to Boldmere Falcons
  • Under 9 Girls – home to Kidderminster Lions

The Under 9s were mascots at our home game vs St Ives on Saturday – keep an eye on our social media for photos from their day!
