COACHES’ CORNER: Mike McGrath previews Evesham United

Ahead of tonight’s away match vs Evesham United (7:45 KO) in the Worcestershire Senior Cup, manager Mike McGrath has previewed the fixture. He looks at what the tie means and the match against the Robins in this competition last year.

“Hopefully it’ll be the start of a little cup run. It gives a few of the lads a chance to play who haven’t played as much as they maybe would have liked.

“We typically train on the VG pitch on a Tuesday but, as it has gotten pretty heavy, we probably wouldn’t have been able to do so. Therefore, it’ll be good to have this game instead to keep ticking over.

“I remember the defeat to Evesham at this stage of the competition at home last year – we was in a different place then with the players and I think we’ll give a better account of ourselves this time around and I’m looking forward to it.”
