COACHES’ CORNER: Andy Mason previews AFC Rushden & Diamonds

Ahead of Saturday’s league match, at home to AFC Rushden & Diamonds (3:00 KO), assistant manager Andy Mason has previewed the fixture, looking at lessons learnt from Tuesday’s draw and the task at hand in this fixture.

“Firstly, thank you for your great support on Tuesday – we were truly gutted after losing a two goal lead, but the beauty about football is that the games come thick and fast.

“It is important that we leave that result behind us and move on and learn from our mistakes.

“We have had a very upbeat training session since, and worked hard on a few things and look forward to welcoming AFC Rushden & Diamonds to the VG.

“They are another very strong and well organised side, which will be another big test for us.

“It was great to see Jason Cowley back scoring goals and, with you guys behind us, we feel we can beat anyone on our day.

“To those attending on Saturday, we look forward to seeing you there!”
