It’s been a quiet week on the football front for the U21s, but there has been plenty going on behind the scenes.

The team train every Wednesday and a break in match day action created more time to further develop skills within the team, which coaches Mark Reeve and Stuart Carson believe has been very beneficial.

“Following on from our fantastic first game as under 21s it was back to work again this week for the group” said Stuart.

“As with any new group, there is lots to work on and it’s important we selected areas to improve on.

“All our sessions are planned to be sharp to imitate game scenarios as much as possible and full credit to the whole group, who have brought into every session thus far.”

Brand new training kits arrived this week, produced by kit sponsor Moving Forward Sports and funded by heating equipment supplier Lochinvar. The gear was a huge morale booster and integral in making the players feel part of the club.

On the scouting front, this week has seen the confirmed addition of more players. Zak Parr, Cory O’Connor and Oliver Jones have all committed themselves to the team and look forward to representing the club this season.

Bromsgrove Sporting U21s are next in action on Saturday 31st August, facing Diamonds Academy U21s on home turf.

“We all look forward to our first league game at home and will try to build on our encouraging start to the season” Stuart added, ahead of this weekend’s match.

“If any fans aren’t able to make the away trip with the first team, all support would be very much appreciated by the boys.”
