U21s
Bromsgrove Sporting U21s make it five from five after a dominant 1-7 triumph at Bartley Reds, to continue their perfect start to the season.
Sporting were on good form from the off, as Hayden Baker sank the opener in the first three minutes before adding a second later in the game.
A double from Zak Parr and a goal from Josh Long created more problems for Bartley, who scored in the second half, before Ethan Ward had the final say with two goals from off the bench.
The win puts Bromsgrove in a strong position, as they sit second in the U21 Division table behind Sutton United U21s, as they go into a weekend off.
Under 21’s joint-manager, Stuart Carson, said: “It was another good result on Saturday to continue our positive start to the season.
“I thought we played some good stuff in the first half especially, and should have been more clinical.
“A week off this week so a good training session Tuesday night and we go into next week with the hunger to continue our fine start.”
The team will be in action at home next against Sporting Khalsa Youth U21 Development on Saturday 26th September from 10:30am at The UK Electrical Stadium.
U18s
Meanwhile, the Bromsgrove Sporting U18s stormed to a 5-1 victory over Bustleholme in the league.
Sporting were clinical throughout, as goals from George Andrewartha, Sam Dunkley, Jake Parker and a double from Alfie Satchwell showed off the team’s talents with manager, Dave Andrewartha, describing it as ‘probably our best all-round performance of the season so far’.
“We controlled possession, dictated the tempo and created enough chances to have added even more goals to the scoreline,” he said.
“The boys were outstanding and put in another huge shift from start to finish. A great performance, a great result and an all-round great night for the lads.
“It was also the first time we had the chance to wear our new home kit on home turf. A huge thank you to PR Training for their sponsorship and support.”
The team have a well deserved week off from competitive football, but will be back in action on Monday 28th September, when they welcome Paget Rangers to The UK Electrical Stadium with a 7:45pm kick off.
