SPORTING LADIES: Season So Far Review

Sporting Ladies’ head coach Curtis Goodison has written a review of the side’s season so far…

Bromsgrove Sporting Ladies enter the new year looking to build on their strong performances in the first half of the season.

Prior to the start of the season, the Ladies had made numerous new signings across a number of positions. With this number of signings, it was expected to take time to build relationships on the pitch, but the work on the training pitch paid off, with some excellent performances.

The impressive start to the season has seen the Ladies win six and lose two of their first eight games. A notable victory included their 7-0 home win against Kingfisher, whilst the Ladies’ best performance was their 2-0 win away against Hereford FC at Edgar Street.

Looking ahead to the second half of the season, the Ladies are looking to push ahead, return to winning ways and challenge at the top of the table.

Their first scheduled game of 2026 is on Sunday 11th January at The UK Electrical Stadium against Halesowen. This is followed by a County Cup quarter final at home to the Worcester City First Team, in what will be a big test for the Ladies.

With 14 league games to go, the Ladies are only three points away from last season’s total, and are in a strong position in the league – six points off the top of the league with four games in hand!

We would love to have support from as many people as possible, so come down and support the Ladies for the rest of the season!
