GIRLS

Bromsgrove Sporting Under 9

Last home league game of the season saw the U9s take on Malvern. It was a very physical and hard game, that saw Sporting match Malvern across all aspects of the pitch and were unlucky to go in at half time behind

Some uncertainty and tiredness crept into the second half but, as always, the girls never gave up and gave everything until the end

Player of the Match went to goalkeeper Khaleesi, who made some incredible saves.

The next games are at the Soccer 7s Tournament at the Victoria Ground on Bank Holiday Monday.

Bromsgrove Sporting Under 18MW

Bromsgrove played extremely well against Broadway. They were ready and fired up for this game, and they were consistent in terms of passes and working together. Bromsgrove kept up momentum even when the opposition scored, and it kept them going to get a goal, and after they kept having shots on target.

However, the opposition’s goalkeeper played extremely well. Even though Bromsgrove lost 5-1, that didn’t stop them or leave them feeling defeated and they look forward to their next game vs Warwick at home.

Bromsgrove Sporting Girls Under 18TL

A depleted side travelled to Burton on Saturday with only 11 fit players. Several of the girls had to play out of position and it was a good learning curve for them, but a nervous time for the management team – especially in the first 10 minutes.

Having settled down, they started to play but were hit on the break with two somewhat fortuitous goals past their stand in goalkeeper.

The second half saw the girls put intense pressure on the Burton defence, but were not able to get the ball into the opposition’s net. Five minutes from time, Burton scored a third goal. The final result was 3-0, but they were unlucky. The girls battled against the odds with only 11 players and they should be proud. This week, they host Boldmere.

Bromsgrove are recruiting for next year and players who are in Years 11, 12 & 13 should contact Alan Williams 07786 983 951 if interested.
