Over Easter, Bromsgrove Sporting was delighted to run an open trial day for players interested in joining our Football Education Programme, in partnership with Colmers School and Sixth Form College.
The players received over an hour of coaching from our UEFA coach, before the teams were kitted out in Bromsgrove Sporting strips for a full size game on the UK Electrical Stadium pitch, using the scoreboard and VEO analysis technology.

Iain Queen, Football Development Officer, comments: “There has been a lot of interest in the programme, and we are still looking to recruit further.
“This is a fantastic chance for players to continue their studies whilst developing their football. It is a really unique opportunity, as Colmers School and Sixth Form College are offering both sports courses and a range of other A-Levels in subjects away from sport.
“The course will enable players to learn, whilst being a part of a team and developing their skills in football. Players will receive lectures from experienced teachers, whilst the high level sports facilities will create the perfect environment for players to develop both on the pitch and in the classroom.
“This is an exciting new project for the club and something we are confident will grow and develop over the years. Research has shown the importance of doing regular exercise, and this programme offers a wide range of benefits, including physical and mental wellbeing, social development, and academic performance.”
