INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

  • This Saturday (8th March), International Women’s Day takes place. At our home match against Telford, we will be marking IWD with a series of special events, shining a spotlight on women’s and girls football at Bromsgrove!

NON LEAGUE DAY

  • We are excited to be collaborating with Athletic Bilbao for this year’s Non League Day – the LaLiga side are teaming up with six English teams for NLD, in homage to their red and white striped home shirt. Each side will receive two Athletic jerseys to raffle off at their NLD fixtures.

  • On this year’s Non League Day (22nd March), we face Banbury United at home!

JOSH EZEWELE

  • Last week, defender Josh Ezewele had surgery on his shoulder, after he dislocated it at our home game against Kettering earlier in the season.
  • On Twitter/X, he said: “Not long till I’m running about on the pitch.”
  • We certainly hope this is the case, Josh! We look forward to seeing you back out on the grass and wish you well as your recovery continues!

BILLY SHAW

  • At Saturday’s game against Sudbury, midfielder Billy Shaw reached the landmark milestone of 50 appearances for Sporting!

SUDBURY MATCH SPONSOR

  • Footsteps4Families were our special guest sponsors our game against Sudbury on Saturday.
  • They are raising money for the Acorns Children’s Hospice and the Aston Villa Foundation that will go towards vital funding to help provide respite care for families with poorly children.
  • They managed to raise nearly £400, thanks to kind donations from fans and staff, both online and at the game!

CHIP THE BIN

  • At Saturday’s game with Sudbury, it was great to have our U9 Reds as mascots!
  • At half time, they played our ‘Chip The Bin’ game, congratulations go to winners Ethan Montero, Freddie Broadway & Arthur Reid, who go through to our end of season competition!
  • Our thanks go to Bromsgrove District Council Commercial Waste Services for providing & painting the bin and supplying the footballs and Pinfields Limited for giving out sweets to our mascots!

NON LEAGUE NETWORKING

  • Tuesday saw Sporting hold its third Non League Networking session of 2025 – it was hosted by James Grainger, from valued club sponsor Express Vehicle Contracts.
  • An incredible 28 local business professionals attended the session – be sure not to miss out on April’s edition!

BIZ & BEVS

  • On Wednesday 12th March, Sporting holds a ‘Biz & Bevs’ networking session (6 – 8pm).
  • Biz & Bevs is all about bringing together the local business community in a relaxed, sociable environment.
  • Whether you’re looking to meet new people, strengthen local ties, or simply unwind with fellow business owners, Biz n Bevs brings community and connection together.

SUPER SIX – FEBRUARY WINNER

  • As mentioned in previous news summaries, Sporting diehard fan Ian Clarke is running a Sky Super 6 competition this season – the Sporting Super 6 winner for February was Brian Ashfield, with 61 points, who has won £5.
  • Monthly prizes are to be won, as well as a big prize at the end of the season.
