First Team

  • The First Team commence their Emirates FA Cup campaign this weekend with a trip to Belper Town in the First Qualifying Round (3:00 KO).

Ladies

  • Our Ladies’ scheduled Adobe Women’s FA Cup match versus Market Drayton Town Ladies has been called off – Market Drayton have withdrawn and, as a result, our Ladies have received a bye to the next round.
  • This Sunday, the Ladies play a Lye Town Development Ladies side at our UK Electrical Stadium. Kick off is 2pm and entry is free.

Veterans

  • The Vets’ scheduled home friendly this weekend has been called off.

CHARITY BIKE RIDE

  • Thanks to the generosity of those who have donated online, at Saturday’s game vs Lowestoft Town, and Monday’s game vs Halesowen Town, Matt from our commercial team has raised a total of £2,516.00 (+£594.61 Gift Aid) at the time of writing.
  • £178.50 was raised at Monday’s game via a bucket collection.

DROITWICH SPA FIXTURE

  • Our Worcestershire Senior Cup First Round match at Droitwich Spa will be taking place on Tuesday 1st October (7:45 KO).
  • Note – this is a week earlier than was originally scheduled.

PAUL CHESTON

  • Paul Cheston’s funeral will be held on 5th September at 2pm. This will take place at Redditch Crematorium and the wake will follow at Bromsgrove Sporting. Everybody who knew Paul is welcome to attend.
  • A minute’s silence will take place in honour of Paul at an upcoming home game.
  • Paul was one of our most loyal fans of recent years, a stalwart of the Bromsgrove Sporting (formerly Rovers) Supporters Society and a for a short period of time, one of the Society representatives on the Club’s board of directors.

CHIP THE BIN

  • At Monday’s game with Halesowen Town, it was great to have our U11s & U12s Colts as mascots!
  • At half time, they played our new ‘Chip The Bin’ game – winners Charlie, Dylan, Ted & Dhiaan go into our end of season competition, against winners from other competitions across the season!
  • Our thanks go to Bromsgrove District Council Commercial Waste Services for providing & painting the bin and supplying the footballs and Pinfields Limited for giving out sweets to our mascots!

  • The amazing Skabucks are playing at Sporting on Saturday 7th September at 7pm!
