Bromsgrove Sporting are thrilled to announce our latest addition ahead of the 2026/27 season – vastly experienced central defender Chris Hussey from Hednesford Town!
Chris was a vital part of the Pitmen’s defence during their back-to-back promotions in the last two seasons.
He has Southern League Premier Central experienced following his time with Stratford Town, and he also brings a wealth of experience to Sporting, through spending 13 years playing in the EFL.
After beginning his career in non league at AFC Wimbledon, he bagged a move to then-Championship side Coventry City. He counts Bury, Swindon Town, Cheltenham Town, Port Vale, Sheffield United, and Walsall as other clubs during his illustrious time in the Football League.
On joining Sporting, Chris commented: “I am delighted to be joining Bromsgrove. It’s a football club on the up, with owners who are ambitious and want to be successful – which aligned with my ambitions.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in successful teams – both in the league and non-league – and with everyone pulling in the right direction, it gives us a platform for success for the forthcoming season.”
