On Tuesday evening, Sporting played a hastily arranged friendly against Solihull Moors B side, made up mainly of academy and reserve players.

Sporting used the match to give game time to those players short of match practice and those returning from injury in particular popular midfielder Jack Newell who played for his first match since the middle of last season. Unfortunately Moors ran out 2 - 1 winners with Matt Barnes-Homer on target for the Rouslers.
