Bromsgrove Sporting’s penultimate pre-season friendly at The Victoria Ground ended in a three nil defeat to Evo-Stik Southern Premier League outfit Rushall Olympic.

A Danny Waldron hat trick split the two sides in a game where the higher ranked team dominated.

Olympic should have been ahead on twelve minutes when Joe Hull found himself free in the box but could only head over from the corner ball.

The Pics’ had their lead inside half an hour, when Waldron was allowed to wander into the box unchallenged before sending an excellent drive across Sporting 'keeper Jono Brown into the far left corner.

On the hour mark, Rushall doubled their lead. A mazy run by Kyle Delaney opened the home defence and allowed Waldron a simple finish to get his second of the game.

Bromsgrove threatened very little and Waldron added his third with a wonderful looping effort over Brown after being played through by Gaz Singh.

The Rouslers’ should have added a consolation late on but somehow no green shirt managed to get on the end of Charlie Dowd’s inviting cross.

In the end, Bromsgrove were convincingly beaten by their superior opposition in another good test before Evesham visit The Victoria Ground on Saturday.

Sporting players used: Jon Brown, Aaron Roberts, Jack Wilson, Liam Armstrong, Marcel Simpson, Danny Morris, Will Shorrock, Josh Quaynor, Ryan Nesbitt, Richard Gregory, R'mar Murray. Subs: Aaron Williams, Price, Charlie Dowd, Nathan Hayward
