Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (King 26')
Marlow 1
Bromsgrove Sporting concluded their pre-season campaign with a 1-1 draw with Buckinghamshire outfit Marlow.
Reece King gave the home side the lead in the first half before the visitors levelled proceedings with eight minutes remaining.
Sporting's Jamie Meddows had a strike saved by the feet of the keeper in the eighth minute before the Rouslers' Walsall-loanee Charlie Wragg put an attempt from distance well over the bar.
Marlow's No. 4 headed the ball over the bar in the 17th minute. Nine minutes later, the opener came, as King buried the ball into the back of the net after he was set up in style by Meddows.
King almost doubled his tally for the afternoon 10 minutes later, but he headed the ball well wide from a Callum King-Harmes cross.
Marlow enjoyed more of the play in the second half, with Sporting keeper Charlie Price saving a strike from the No. 11 with his feet in the 50th minute before the No. 9 had a shot blocked from inside the area soon after.
Price kept out an effort from Marlow's No. 12 in the 74th minute. Up the other end, Bromsgrove's Harry Crook found the side netting with a drive 60 seconds later.
Price saved a header from the No. 11 in the 77th minute but their perseverance paid five minutes later, as they managed to bundle the ball into the goal after Bromsgrove failed to clear their lines from a corner.
The away side almost bagged the win in the 86th minute, but the No. 14 put a strike wide from the edge of the area.
