Bromsgrove Sporting made it six pre-season wins in a row on Tuesday evening, with a comfortable victory over Step Three newcomers Malvern Town.

Goals from Lamin Barrow, Jamille Matt and Jaden Charles maintained Sporting's 100% pre-season run to date, with only Hereford left to play on Saturday before the league campaign commences on 8th August.

New addition Barrow - who had previously played as Trialist B for the Rouslers - opened the scoring 11 minutes in when he capitalised on some wayward defending to take it around the keeper and slot home into an empty net from an acute angle.

Ollie Harrison saw a 32nd minute header loop over the bar before Billy Shaw had a well struck volley tipped over the bar five minutes later.

Kieron Freeman had a shot blocked in the 40th minute - two minutes later, the lead was doubled, via a well-worked team move. Keeper Tony Breeden's long range pass found Barrow, who controlled the ball well and found Matt. He passed to Josh Dugmore, who returned the favour with a cracking ball into the box that the ex-Walsall striker slotted home with consummate ease.

In the final moments of the half, Matt was brought down in a last man tackle just outside the box - no cards was given and Sporting skipper Chris Hussey put the resultant free kick narrowly over with a curled effort.

The 53rd minute saw Malvern's Sam Clark clatter the crossbar with a good strike, whilst Matt connected with a volley sweetly eight minutes later but saw his attempt saved the feet of the visitors' trialist goalkeeper.

Charles notched up his second goal in as many games in the 64th minute, courtesy of a fiercely struck drive from inside the box.

Jay Malshanskyj had a shot palmed away by Breeden moments later - up the other end, Jake Jervis and a trialist both had efforts on goal that were saved well in the 82nd minute.
